Help: JavaScript & Cookies for MyUni
In order to login and use MyUni, you must ensure that Javascript
is enabled and your browser accepts cookies. Having these functions
turned on in your browser ensures your online security. Access is
refused to browsers that do not have JavaScript and cookies turned
on.
Locate your browser on the list below for instructions to ensure
JavaScript is turned on.
Netscape 4.x
Edit--->Preferences--->Advanced--->Enable Javascript
Choose "Edit" from the Menu Bar, then select "Preferences".
From the left-hand side of the dialog box, choose "Advanced".
Ensure the box next to Javascript is checked. If not, click once
on the box. Click "OK" when you are finished.
Netscape 3
Options--->Network Preferences--->Languages---->Javascript
Choose "Options" from the Menu Bar, then select "Network
Preferences". From the menu on the top of the new dialog box,
click on "Language"s. If Javascript is enabled, the box
to the left of Javascript will be checked. If not, click once on
the box. Click "Apply" then "OK" when you are
finished.
Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE)
In order to access MyUni pages and e-mail you should be using MSIE
version 4 or higher. If you are using a version below 4 you may
experience difficulties as lower version browsers do not offer full
Javascript support. It is advisable to upgrade to at least version
4 to take full advantage of the MyUni features. MSIE can be upgraded
from the Microsoft
download area.
Locate your browser on the list below for instructions on allowing
Cookies.
Netscape 4
Edit--->Preferences--->Advanced--->Accept All cookies
Choose "Edit" from the Menu Bar, then select "Preferences".
From the left-hand side of the dialog box, choose "Advanced".
Ensure the radio button next to Accept All Cookies is selected.
If not, click once on the radio button. You may also want to select
the box for "Warn me" before accepting a cookie. Click
"OK" when you are finished.
Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE)
In order to view all parts of MyUni you must have the security settings
set at medium within Internet Explorer. This will allow the appropriate
cookies to be set.
To do this:
Tools--->Internet Options--->Security
Click on the "Internet" icon in the top left-hand corner
and ensure the toggle below the icon is set at "Medium".
If it is not, drag it to the correct setting. Repeat this process
for the Intranet icon.
