Web Pre-Enrolment for Research Students
Before pre-enrolling, you are required to check/update your Statistical
information. You can then proceed to pre-enrol on the Web and obviate
the need to attend face-to-face enrolment.
Please note that if you wish to change your attendance pattern
(e.g. change from Full Time to Part Time or the other way) you must
see your Faculty; this function is not available on the Web.
How to Pre-enrol on the Web
- After logging in, you will be presented with a series of choices
including Pre-Enrolment. If you have already completed the Statistical
and Disability information, then you may proceed directly to Pre-Enrolment.
- To start pre-enrolling, click on "Pre-Enrolment" once
to highlight it, and then click on the
button
- You will be shown a list of courses you are currently enrolled
in. To pre-enrol in one of those courses click on the "Course
Name".
- The screen following will show various details about your enrolment
from the previous session, as well as showing buttons for Course
List
and E-mail
- To pre-enrol, click on the link near the bottom of the page
which says "If you want to Pre-Enrol for next year then click
here".
- If your pre-enrolment was successful, a screen will appear informing
you of this, and you may wish to either print this page if you
have access to a printer and/or e-mail the information to yourself
by clicking on the
button.
- You may continue by either clicking on
or
- The "More Variations" button returns you to the screen
which you pre-enrolled from (and you may drop your pre-enrolment
if you wish). The "Course List" button also returns
you to that screen.
Common problems you may encounter
- You would like to change your attendance pattern (e.g. move
from part time to full time): visit your Faculty to find out
how to do this. Attendance pattern can not be changed on the Web.
- The course you wish to pre-enrol in does not appear on the
list of courses: call your Faculty or the Student Centre to
find out how to pre-enrol.
- The e-mail you had sent for confirmation does not arrive:
log in to Web pre-enrolment again and see whether your status
is pre-enrolled or not pre-enrolled.
- A message appears telling you that you cannot pre-enrol because
your Statistical and Disability information has not been updated:
follow the link provided to update those details.
