Course Transfers
Only a few students will be able to use the Course Transfer facility
on the Web. The majority of students who are eligible to transfer
from one course to another will need to contact their Faculty Office
regarding this process.
The following students will be eligible to perform course transfers
on the Web:
- Students enrolled in combined Law programs who have
completed the requirements for the non-Law course may use the
Course Transfer facility on the Web to transfer into Law.
- Students enrolled in the combined Art/Social Work program
who have completed the requirements for the Arts component may
transfer into Social Work using the Course Transfer facility on
the Web.
- Make sure you perform your course transfer BEFORE working on
your Units of Study.
How to perform a Course Transfer
- When you open the Pre-Enrolment service, a screen showing the
course(s) you are enrolled in will appear.
- If you are eligible to perform a course transfer, this will
display as a button called
against the relevant course on the main screen.
- Click the
button - a list of courses you are eligible to transfer into will
appear.
- Select the course you wish to transfer to by clicking on its
name.
- You will then see a confirmation screen showing the course you
are transferring from and the course you are transferring to.
- If the details are correct, click on the
button. You will receive a prompt asking if you are sure you wish
to perform the transfer. Click "OK" to proceed;
if you do not wish to proceed.
- If the details are not correct, click
to return to the previous screen, or
to cancel the procedure and return to the main screen.
- You will then receive a message advising you that the transfer
was successful and you will be directed to pre-enrol in the new
course.
Common Problems/Error Messages you may encounter
- The course you wish to transfer into is not listed:
if this is the case, you will need to contact your Faculty to
ascertain if you are eligible to transfer into the course you
wish and, if so, how you can go about it.
- You are not certain which Units of Study to pre-enrol in
for your new course: you can either access the Faculty Handbook
online, or contact the Faculty to find out which units you should
pre-enrol in. You can make up to 20 allowed variations to your pre-enrolment, so returning to
it is possible if you have not made 20 allowed variations.
- You transferred into the wrong course, and now you can not
transfer to another or back to your previous course in the Web
pre-enrolment tool: you must contact your Faculty as soon
as possible to find out how to correct this.
